New Zealand is a group of islands in the temperate latitudes in the Southern Pacific Ocean, population ~3.7 million. Residents of New Zealand enjoy one of the world's highest standards of living, in a society that is technologically advanced and a wider environment that is rugged and ecologically pure.

Now, through New Zealand's plethora of high capacity transoceanic cables, the new generation of New Zealand technology wizards presents rave.co.nz, a web-based e-zine and mailing list bringing together promoters, artists, djs, technology wizards, and partygoers to promote and enhance techno music, parties and culture, disseminate information to the underground, and set a vision for the future.

The primary means of publication is electronic, via the rave.co.nz website, the rave-wire electronic mailing list and the rave-philez ftp site. Contributions are actively encouraged. The editor is Philip Lamb, phil@rave.co.nz.
